Life Full Of Lincoln: First Two Weeks

04 November 2014

Week 2 of Baby Lincoln....

We are still stunned by the Grace of God that this little man is here. He gets more beautiful (and chunkier) by the minute. We joke because every time somebody says "Oh my, he is so beautiful" Jill always replies with "I know right!" We know that the correct response should be "Thank you so much!", but we are not quite there yet. We ourselves are still surprised by his dashing good looks.

We are all getting used to our little routines, and by that I mean no routine whatsoever. When we're hungry we eat and when we're sleepy we sleep. We have been absolutely blessed with a sleepy baby at night. Like clockwork he wakes up at 2am to eat and 6am to eat and poop. Then if you let him he will sleep until 9:30....that is if you can resist kissing that sweet face until 9:30. I would like to say that after being home for a week and a half there has been less tears, but if you know Jill.... At least once every other day, she will be holding him and start crying because she "just loves him so much!" It's really sweet though.

Almost daily he is introduced to a new family member. Everyone that holds him just falls in love with him immediately. We have really enjoyed getting to spend this time, which has flown by, since he got home as a brand new family. We have had the privilege of getting to lay around, run errands, walk to the park, and just love on each other. However, all good things must end. Dad finally has to go back to work! Really not liking that too much, but somebody has to keep those dim lit nursery lights on. It's ok thought because I have already started recording videos to send to mom so she can just hold her phone in front of his face all day!

Okay here you go......
