Our Announcement Letter!!

27 July 2013

Dear Friends and Family,

We are so excited to share our story with the people that mean the most to us. If you are reading this then please know that you have made a very important impact on our lives, and have in some part made us who we are today. Though some of you know a little about our struggles with trying to become parents, most of you do not. We first started trying to grow our family about five years ago. We had many tests and procedures and met with the best fertility specialists in Texas. After the most invasive procedures, including two unsuccessful IVF’s, we were still diagnosed as having Unexplained Infertility. After many tears and many prayers we finally received our true calling from God. He has made it very clear to us that our family was built for adoption. Adoption has always been something we discussed, but had a lot of questions and concerns. All of our worries have been put to rest by letting God guide us, and through all obstacles the right doors have opened for us. It has been clear to us that now is the time to share our story, and give all of our loved ones the opportunity to join us on this journey. We have recently been accepted into the Gladney Center for Adoption which is one of the best agencies in the country. We were one of only 15 couples asked to attend an orientation this month. That is when we purchased our formal paperwork and started the process of bringing our baby home.

It is possible that we may have biological children one day, but biology has no effect on the love we already have for our baby. We cannot tell you if our baby will be a boy or a girl. What we can tell you is that we will get to be involved with the birth mother before the birth, and when our time comes the Johnson family will grow by one. We will be Mom and Dad. Tina and Lincoln will finally be grandparents, and Brittany and Taylor will be aunts. Nancy (G.G.) will have another grand baby to spoil, and all the Mcclaran babies will have a new cousin. Though you will not be able to see physical changes of being pregnant, I can assure you that we have every emotional feeling of becoming first time parents. We are privileged for this opportunity. This is not only about us getting to adopt a baby; it is about a baby who will join a family that has more than enough love in their hearts to share.
